With his 20 years of revenue cycle management experience, Brian oversees the billing team and facilitates successful reimbursements for eligible services within the Healthy Opportunities Pilot network, catering to human service organizations (HSOs) and Medicaid Prepaid Health Plans. His extensive leadership in revenue cycle management equips him with invaluable insights into the Medicaid billing process, critical for ensuring the sustained viability of the HSOs and the pilot program.
As an integral part of the Impact Health team, Brian enjoys the collaborative culture of the company and is proud of the work he and his team are doing to support the many HSOs with reimbursement for the services they provide to HOP clients.
Brian graduated from the University of South Carolina in Columbia with a Bachelor of Arts in Government and International Relations. He then continued to grow professionally with large hospital systems throughout South Carolina and Virginia, developing streamlined billing systems for Medicare, Medicaid, and private health care plans. He is a certified Revenue Cycle Associate with the Hospital Financial Management Association (HFMA) and served as the Board of Director for the South Carolina Chapter of HFMA.
In 2020, Brian moved to Asheville to serve as the regional coordinator for a comprehensive community mental health organization. In his free time, Brian enjoys working in his yard and exploring the mountains of WNC with his husband, Eric.
