Stephanie Werner, MBA

Accounting Manager

Stephanie has more than 25 years of experience in accounting and financial management. She started her career in the construction industry but transitioned to the nonprofit sector nearly 10 years ago to work with organizations that focus on children, families and the community.

Prior to joining Impact Health, Stephanie worked with a nationally recognized children’s organization and a children’s advocacy center in Florida. Closer to home, she served in a variety of capacities at the Asheville Jewish Community Center, where she helped lead the center’s capital campaign and expansion to include a new year-round aquatics facility that supports the community and serves as home base for the Asheville High School swim team.

Stephanie has been a youth mentor for many years and is grateful for the opportunity to help youth succeed, including twins she mentored for over seven years who both received full college scholarships.

She earned her master’s degree in business administration and her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Western Carolina University. She moved to WNC in 2007 and currently lives near Mars Hill with her partner Andrew. In her free time, Stephanie likes to bake, watch movies, and read about anything and everything. In the warmer months, she loves to hike or spend time outside in the garden.
