Our Team

Shaneka joins the Impact Health team as a community engagement manager. In this role, she provides technical assistance and support to our human Service Organizations (HSO) located in and around Buncombe County. Shaneka is passionate about serving her community and is deeply committed to working with diverse and underserved populations. She has played a key role in community engagement initiatives and has hands-on experience as a community health worker (CHW).

Before joining our team, Shaneka worked as a CHW instructor, where she used her experience to educate and mentor future CHWs. She is a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success and was a keynote speaker at the YWCA of Asheville’s 2024 Persimmon event.

Shaneka has an educational background in human service. She is currently pursuing her second master’s degree in social work. When she’s not working or studying, Shaneka enjoys reading and is working on her goal to read 80 books by the end of this year. She also enjoys spending time with her children, and her daughter serves as a perfect model for her nail art skills.
