Our Team

Rene supports our network of human service organizations, pilot participants, and team by developing policies, procedures and best practices that ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines. Her approach is positive and person-centered, and her thoughtful oversight protects sensitive client information while promoting organizational health and growth.

Before joining Impact Health, Rene worked as an Executive Assistant at the University of North Carolina Asheville in the division of Human Resources, Institutional Equity and General Counsel, where she supported the Vice Chancellor and General Counsel along with assisting the group’s administrative efforts. Previously, she served as Executive Assistant to the Senior Vice President, Vice President of Operations, Vice President of Marketing and Sales, and the Vice President and General Counsel of the Mission Health Systems’ Health Plans Solutions. The goal of MHS’s Health Plans Solutions is to build healthier communities by providing the best, most affordable health benefit packages and wellness services to the region’s workforce.

Rene holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina Pembroke and Bachelor of Arts in Public Health from the University of South Carolina Columbia (the real USC). Rene recently completed the Leadership Asheville Class 39 program where she has vowed to be a leader that practices wholehearted living.,
