Our Team

As the people and culture assistant, Makayla aids with talent acquisition, learning and development, and general administrative support for the people and culture team. Her passion for serving the community she calls home led her to Impact Health, where she enjoys supporting an organization that is doing life-changing work.

A lifelong resident of Western North Carolina, Makayla graduated from Carson-Newman University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. She began her career in the hospitality industry, focusing on talent acquisition, refining role descriptions, leading employee orientations, and analyzing market trends to enhance team effectiveness.

Makayla and her husband, along with their dog Lenya, live in Transylvania County. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, biking, and spending afternoons on the lake, making the most of the beautiful surroundings she’s always called home.
