As a western North Carolina native, Cynthia is proud to be a part of the Impact Health team as the Accounting Specialist. She brings her experience in grant writing and reporting to help the team continue its mission of implementing the Healthy Opportunities Pilot in WNC. She enjoys being a part of team of incredible coworkers who all share her passion for serving others.
Cynthia is a certified Planner (AICP) and a licensed realtor. Before joining the Impact Health team, Cynthia worked as a grant writer and administrator in local and state government, and the private sector. As a Planner, she worked in both community development and in land use, and administered several local land use ordinances. She is a UNC Chapel Hill alumna and earned her Master of Public Affairs from UNC Greensboro.
An active member in the WNC community, Cynthia served on several boards including the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council, the Asheville Regional Housing Consortium, and the NC Association of Floodplain Managers. Each of these positions provided Cynthia with the opportunity to serve her community by reviewing its needs and recommending specific actions and targeted funding to meet those needs.
